Changing the name of the Wi-Fi network (SSID) of the Mesh Master
You can easily change the Wi-Fi network name of the FRITZ!Repeater (Mesh Master) and use a unique name for the Wi-Fi network. Note that the Mesh Master will only automatically steer wireless devices to the wireless access point with the best Wi-Fi reception and also to the most suitable Wi-Fi network (Mesh Wi-Fi steering) if you use identical names for both Wi-Fi networks.
In the FRITZ! Mesh, the Mesh Master transmits the name of the Wi-Fi network to all Mesh Repeaters, for example to the other FRITZ!Repeaters from the FRITZ!Mesh Set.
Note:All instructions on configuration and settings given in this guide refer to the latest FRITZ!OS for the FRITZ!Repeater.
